As if the hyper rate of inflation and the suppressive government weren't enough, now Zimbabweans are being inflicted with a completely preventable disease. Cholera can easily be eradicated with a fresh supply of drinking water. It is that simple! Yet Robert Mugabe has denied there is a need for UN assistance and claims the health of his nation is just fine. It is a tragic situation which will get worse before it gets better.
Fortunately the Penzo studio/factory has provided all the necessary supplies in order to keep the workers and their families healthy. There is a water well on the property and weekly trips are made cross border for other provisions. Penzo is able to craft and supply their beautiful pottery even in these difficult times.
